VoIP & Telephony
Every extension has its own voicemail box. Callers reach it when you don't answer or are on another call.
Check your messages
| From | Dial | Then |
|---|---|---|
| Your own phone | *97 |
Enter your PIN, then # |
| Any phone in the company | *98 |
Enter your extension, then your PIN |
| Send a caller straight to someone's voicemail | *99 + extension, e.g. *992001 |
Useful when transferring a call |
Follow the voice prompts. After each message, the system reads out the options (replay, save, delete, return the call and so on) and which key does each.
First-time setup
The first time you call *97, set up your box:
- Enter the PIN your administrator gave you.
- Go to Advanced options (usually
5). - Record your name and your greeting ("Hi, you've reached… please leave a message").
- Change your PIN to something only you know.
Voicemail by email
Your administrator can have new messages emailed to you, with the recording attached. If that's turned on, you can listen from your inbox. Delete the message by phone afterwards so your box doesn't fill up.
Tips
- Keep your PIN private. Don't use
1234, your extension number or your birthday. - Old messages are cleaned up automatically after a while, so save anything important elsewhere.
- Forgot your PIN? Ask your administrator to reset it.
